Although we are still months away from the new season, it’s a great time to start planning for the upcoming Victoria Royals season.

On Wednesday, the team released their full schedule for the upcoming 2024/25 season.

They will kick off their 68-game season with back-to-back games against the Tri-City Americans at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre (SOFMC) on Friday, September 20th, and Saturday, September 21st.

During the 2023-24 season, Victoria swept all four games against Tri-City.

After the home opener weekend, the Royals will play their first away game at Prospera Place against the Kelowna Rockets on Friday, September 27th, followed by a game against the Kamloops Blazers on Saturday, September 28th.

The last game of the season will take place on the road against the Prince George Cougars at the CN Centre on March 21st and 22nd.

Here are some fun facts to know about home matchups:

  • On November 1st, the Moose Jaw Warriors, reigning WHL Champions, will visit Victoria
  • First of four visits from the Vancouver Giants will happen on December 13th
  • There will be a New Years Eve game against Vancouver Giants on December 31st
  • On January 3rd, Landon Dupont, the second player in WHL history to be granted exceptional status, will visit the SOFMC with the Everett Silvertips for the first time
  • There will be an afternoon game on BC Family Day against Everett on February 17th
  • Final home game of the 2024-25 season will be against Vancouver on March 14th

Here are some fun facts to know about both home and away matchups:

  • Victoria’s longest homestand of the season will feature 8 games at the SOFMC from February 17th to March 14th. Teams visiting during this stretch include Prince George (2 games), Portland (2 games), Spokane (2 games), Vancouver, and Everett
  • The Royals’ longest road trip will span from November 9th to 23rd, with 8 consecutive away games. They will visit Seattle, Kamloops, Medicine Hat, Lethbridge, Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, and conclude in Everett
  • Throughout the season, the Royals will participate in a total of 28 back-to-backs games, including both home and away games
  • The Royals final game prior to their holiday break will take place on Saturday, December 14th on the road against Vancouver. They will return to action on Friday, December 27th at home against the Prince George Cougars
  • 50 out of the Royals’ 68 regular season games will occur on weekends: 25 on Fridays, 23 on Saturdays, and two on Sundays. Of these 50 weekend games, 26 will be played in Victoria
