The countdown is on!
With only around a month until Victoria’s largest festival returns to our great city, the excitement is real—not only do we have a stellar lineup of artists to look forward to spanning across Rifflandia’s three-day event, but there are also a ton of other perks you may or may not know about.
This year’s lineup features headliners like TLC, Ja Rule, Feist, REZZ, Oliver Tree, The Beaches, C&C Music Factory, Broken Social Scene, Cro-Mags and many more, and will run between Friday, September 13th, and Sunday, September 15th.

And while we wait in anticipation for one of the biggest events of the year, here are 13 things you should know about this year’s Rifflandia:
1. Rifflandia has a Supper Club
Brought to you by Alibi Catering, Jones Bar-B-Que, and The Ruby, you can eat like the artists in what many have called the “best festival catering in the world”!
2. You can have your own private livingroom
For you AND your 7 best friends! Take in the music while lounging in style in Rifflandia’s “Pods” which include a couch, two comfy chairs, side tables, shade cover, power outlets, and good vibes all around.
3. Side stage viewing
You can experience your favourite acts from an exclusive vantage point for the first time ever with the all-new side stage viewing!
4. Location, location, location
Did you know that Rifflandia Festival is located on the Matullia Lands at Rock Bay this year?
5. Can you feel the love tonight?
Six couples have been married at Rifflandia—so far! You too could tie the knot at Rifflandia. We can hear the wedding bells already!
6. Rifflandia has its own convenience store
Riffmart will be fully stocked with candy, chips, beverages, and many more—with specialty treats from Oh Sugar!
7. Rifflandia makes you look cool
The festival will be featuring custom in-house-designed apparel, as well as a vintage crewneck offering with one-of-one chain stitching from local artist Show Class Then Stitch.
8. Kids are MORE than welcome—they’re encouraged!
Rifflandia has an epic zone for wee music fans to let loose and have fun. Kidlandia, presented in partnership with St. Margaret’s School, will feature a ton of awesome activities and interactive elements including the famed Instrument Petting Zoo.
9. Back-to-school shopping? Sure!
Shop ’til you drop on-site at the Rifflandia artisan market. Featuring a number of local creators, you can kit yourself out while supporting local.
10. You can get a haircut!
Hair looking a little shaggy? Never fear, Riff’s got you covered. Our friends at Old Hat Hair Shoppe and Victory Barbers are back to help tame your locks.
11. There’s plenty to laugh about at Rifflandia
You can check out Lafflandia in the Phillips Backyard—no big deal, but it’s been dubbed the best comedy show in Canada (and that’s a true humble brag).
12. Speaking of Phillips…
The Rifflandbraü is back—find it in stores AND at the festival!
13. Turf-tastic
Rifflandia will have over 20,000 square feet of turf this year, so you (and your feet) can rock out well into the night.
