‘Lights of Wonder’ will illuminate Victoria’s Centennial Square until New Year’s Eve

‘Tis the season to sparkle, and what better way to do so than under thousands of twinkling lights in downtown Victoria?

Lights of Wonder is now open, illuminating Centennial Square and offering a cruise through a literal wonderland of light displays.

The outdoor attraction is a safe, fun and accessible way for your family (including pets!) to spend the evening, and is completely free for the public to experience.

Running daily from now until December 31st, Lights of Wonder is open to the public at 4 p.m. each day, giving you enough time to grab a bite to eat or some drinks at one of downtown’s many restaurants.

Plus, this Thursday, December 21st is their official launch night—there will be two photo booths, entertainment, giveaways, treats, a blessing from the Songhees Nation, and so much more!

To celebrate the Lights of Wonder’s official launch, we’ve partnered with the Downtown Victoria Business Association to give away a $100 Downtown Victoria Gift Card, and you’ll find those on Victoria Buzz.

From December 21st to December 31st (aside from the 25th!), you’ll find nightly entertainment alongside the Centennial Square lights, which will culminate in a big New Year’s Eve celebration for the finale of the event.

On New Year’s, Lights of Wonder will host their very own “Sparkle and Glow” party! There will be free glow sticks and giveaways for those who dress up in their sparkliest attire.

The event will feature two countdowns—one at 9 p.m. for those with young children and another at 12 a.m. on January 1st.

You can find a full schedule of Lights of Wonder’s daily events here, including live entertainment, giveaways and more!
