Paula Abdul will kick off her Canadian tour in Victoria this fall

Global icon and Grammy Award-winning singer and dancer Paula Abdul’s “Straight Up!” Canadian tour will kick off this fall, with the first stop in Victoria.

With special guests Taylor Dayne and Tiffany, the tour starts September 25th at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. It will then visit over 20 venues across Canada, including six stops in BC, before concluding on October 26th in Nova Scotia.

A music superstar, dancer, and TV personality, Paula Abdul has sold 60 million records and earned numerous awards, including five MTV Video Music Awards, two Grammys, three AMAs, two Emmys, two People’s Choice Awards, and five Junos.

Paula Abdul began as a Laker Girl at 18, becoming head choreographer and working with stars like Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, and Dolly Parton. She also choreographed films and TV shows including Coming to America and Jerry Maguire.

Her debut album, Forever Your Girl, sold over 7 million copies in the US and set a record with four #1 Billboard singles: “Forever Your Girl,” “Cold Hearted,” “Opposites Attract,” and “Straight Up.”

After several national tours, she had a Las Vegas residency in 2019. Paula has received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, the Harry Chapin Memorial Humanitarian Award, and a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She is also an active philanthropist, supporting charities such as Wigs & Wishes and Children’s Hospital LA, No Kid Hungry, American Humane Association, and Dancers Against Cancer, to name a few..
