Race car enthusiasts from across the province are flocking to the Vancouver Island track for this thrilling event, which runs from August 30th to 31st.
The spotlight of the Canada 200 will be on Metchosin’s Rory Smith, the defending champion.
Smith, who has been largely absent from the 2024 racing season, is making a highly awaited return with his Raptor Excavating Chevy Camaro.
A third-generation driver, Smith clinched the BC Late Model championship last year and is aiming for his fourth Canada 200 triumph this weekend.
The Reg Midgley Canada 200 weekend kicks off with Late Model qualifying on Friday night, followed by the main race on Sunday.
Fans can also look forward to exciting races featuring the BC Street Stocks, Upland Contracting IMOD Modifieds, and Island Outlaw 4 Mini Stocks both nights.
With racers from all over the province lining up for this prestigious event, it’s sure to be a spectacular showcase of speed and skill.
