Victoria’s largest Christmas parade featuring Santa is happening this weekend

Step into the wondrous world of Christmas enchantment!

The Peninsula Co-op Santa Claus Parade is twinkling its way back for its 41st annual celebration, and it’s an extravaganza you won’t want to miss.

Grab your coziest toque and mittens because it’s time to immerse yourself in a symphony of lights and festive decorations that will warm your heart.

Set for Saturday, November 25th, this spectacle promises 60 dazzling floats that will bedazzle your senses and ignite that holiday cheer within you!

The parade kicks off at 5:20 p.m., starting its magical journey at Belleville and Government Street.

But wait, the fun doesn’t stop there!

Secure your spot along the route early to bask in the holiday spirit. Treat yourself to delicious delights from the delightful array of food trucks on-site or dive into the culinary wonders of the local restaurants nearby.

As the floats gracefully glide along Government, then turn east on Humboldt, and finally head north on Douglas, you’ll find yourself lost in a mesmerizing world of festive brilliance.

Feeling a bit frosty? Fear not!

The Mustard Seed Street Church and Food Bank are here to warm you up with delightful hot chocolate and cookies, available by donation at Douglas and Humboldt from 4:30 p.m. onwards.

And here’s your chance to spread some joy too—by contributing non-perishable food items or gently used toys.

For those seeking a more immersive experience, the Victoria Disability Resource Centre will be offering live audio descriptions at Government and Belleville, ensuring everyone feels included in this magical affair.

And what’s a Christmas parade without Santa and Mrs. Claus?

After the parade, head over to the Hudson Holiday Plaza (Victoria Public Market) for a photo session with the beloved duo. Donations are welcome, and there will be delightful drinks and treats to keep the festive vibes alive!

    Oh, and parking?

Don’t fret! On November 25th, the Downtown Victoria Business Association, the Bay Centre, and Robbins Parking are spreading holiday cheer by offering free parking in various parkades and lots:

List of parkades that will be free:
