Spring is in the air at Hillside Shopping Centre, and there are plenty of events lined up to celebrate the season and Mother’s Day weekend!
Not only will you find fun activities for the whole family (age restrictions apply to some), but the events will also support a great cause—BC Cancer Foundation VI.
Starting on May 4th, workshops at Hillside Shopping Centre include a Herb Gift for Mom workshop from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., where you can plant herbs in a cute tea cup or tea pot.
Registration is $10, with all proceeds going to the BC Cancer Foundation VI. The workshop is open to kids and adults aged 8 and up.
On May 5th, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., you can join a cookie decorating workshop hosted by Nadine from Crumbs Stop Here.
The following weekend on May 11th, Platinum Floral Designs is hosting a Floral Spray workshop from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a Floral Arrangement workshop from 1:30 p.mm. to 3:30 pm.
Each session costs $25 to register, with all proceeds benefiting BC Cancer Foundation VI.
In addition to the workshops, Hillside Shopping Centre is hosting a ‘Celebrate You!‘ event on May 4th, 5th, and 11th.
A professional photographer will be on-site to capture memories of you and your loved ones, with the option to purchase a 5×7 photo in a floral folder frame for $10. All proceeds go to BC Cancer Foundation VI.
